Katerina near the Issyk-Kul lake again (Monday 30th September 2002)

30. září 2002

Until yesterday evening, it seemed that there would not be anything to write about again. But then new Katerina's coordinates arrived and it was clear at first sight that she moved distinctly during yesterday. After having looked into the map, the main surprise came: after 233 kilometers of flight she stopped near the Issyk-Kul lake in Kyrgyzstan - the same lake she had stayed by three weeks ago.

When she first arrived at the Issyk-Kul, it was kind of surprise. And when she after that moved northeast to the Ili river, we assumed that she got into a blind alley near the Issyk-Kul lake and tried to find the way out - Issyk-Kul is surrounded by three- or four-thousand high mountains. And now she's there again...Perhaps she knows well what she's doing and we just can't see why.

Both males stay at their places: Petr near Syrdaryia in Kazakhstan and Roman in the Karakum desert in Turmekistan. As far as Roman is concerned, please do not imagine he finds himself in a sand-storm. He's in an irrigated and intensively cultivated area. We are going to bring you a gallery of the snapshots taken from outer space with pictures of all the storks' stops, and that will make it quite clear.
