Chingiz and Tuya (Tuesday, August 24, 2004)

We have shown both Mongolian storks many times here, and now it's time to introduce them: the male we trapped and marked in Gatsaa is named Chingiz, the female from the Bird's gate is Tuya.
I think there is no need to explain why we chose Chingiz as the name of the first stork - Chinghiz Khan is the most important person in history for the Mongolians, and the name Chingiz is very popular here. Tuya is Mongolian name as well and is also very popular. We chose it not only because it means "the ray of sun" but to the honour of Gomboo's wife...
