Shilo

"Now we're in a situation as if somebody told us in Prague that the stork nest is somewhere near Paris," noted Franta after we left Krasnoyarsk for south to Chakask and Tuva, from where we had other news about the storks' nests.
While we were driving a leasehold car upstream of Yenisey and got from Taiga to steppes, the important thing was taking place 1000 kilometers west in Novosibirsk area where Premek Rabas had gone before.
"Shilo is a real medicine man!" was the first Premek's sentence after met in Novosibirsk after a few days. Ristislav Shilo, the director of Novosibirsk ZOO, just before we flew to Russia, had sent us a fax about nests found before several years. "We could well knock it off without Shilo. We've got an occupied nest!"
He passed me a videocassette: "Here I've taped it."
I connected the camera to my notebook and, while individual sequences showed up on the display, Premek described how his investigation went on.
"...'ve gone together to Suzun to a local huntsmen commander. Shilo took out of the car a big bottle of cognac..."
A sequence showing a 60 years old man with white curly hair and moustache holding his papirosa and walking through a birch forest. Shilo.
"...and then Shilo persuaded a local huntsman as well," Premek went on. "And he took us to the nest. Look, here it is."
The cassete was almost over and the display shew the nest with hatches.
