Petr flies straight southward (Thursday 17th October 2002)
Petr, who stayed near Syrdarya in Kazakhstan, started his way straight southward on Tuesday (from the data we have it's hard to say if it wasn't already on Monday) and during the last night he reached Uzbekistan westward from Semarkand, more than 300 kilometers from his last stop. He flied another 300 km yesterday and stopped in the eastern corner of Turkmenistan. 100 km more and he'll fly above Afghanistan.. In other words, he's going to reach Afghanistan most probably today.
It seems that Petr aims to get to Pakistan or India as we expected. But the bow by means of which he avoided Tan-San, Pamir and Hindukus is domed northwestward much more than necessary.
Roman and Katerina still remain at their locations.
