First Petr who should be flying over Afghanistan: we waited all yesterday for his new coordinates. In vain. Only sensors' data arrived even if the satellites received three beeps from etr's transmitter. Perhaps Argos has troubles due to the mountain terrain in Afghanistan...
A zoologist Ma Ming wrote us from Urumqi ? the capital of Xinyiang region ? where Katerina stayed and started to fly again: ?...Katerina will probably fly southward but I think that she won't go across the Kunlun mountains to Tibet and India; there's very cold there already. Around Akto where she's aiming, it's quite warm during the winter and near the mountaing there are warm and hot springs with fish and insects. Neither in December nor in January the water gets frozen, so it's a important area for migrating and winterizing birds.?
