Katerina is all right! By the Indus river... (Tuesday 17th December 2002)

Katerina flew 200 kilometers south-south-westward from Saturday till this afternoon. This means that she passed Karakoram 'safe and clean'!
She was in one of the side valleys of the Indus river this afternoon. In fact, in Karakoram as well, but only at its southern slope northwestward from the Nanga Parbat mountain.
The worst part is obviously behind her. The temperature of her transmitter is 20 Celsius so she is in a warm environment now. We'll see where she's gonna fly onwards.
All in all, Katerina's flight over Karakoram is marvellous. Perhaps it's the most interesting thing we've experienced during the years while watching the black storks.
