It's clear: southern Gujarat (Wednesday, 29th October 2003)

Iristu flew 280 kilometres on Monday and 275 kilometres yesterday. He went on approximately southward and got to Gujaratin the northern margin of Kathiawar peninsula. It seems almost sure he is going to spend the winter on this particular peninsula.

We will bring you more detailed information of what the nature in Kathiawar looks like tomorrow. Obviously, it's a remarkably interesting area where - apart from others - the last Indian lions (Panthera leo goojratensis)live in the Gir Forest reservation.

Altynai is staying on the border of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. It's only a question of time she sets off over Hindukus.
