The Great Wall of China (Friday October 8, 2004)

8. říjen 2004

Recent satellite data prove that Chingiz stopped near the large stream Chuang-che (Yellow river) in the northern hook of the province Ningxia Hui which projects here to the huge Chinese province called Inner Mongolia surrounding the border between China and Mongolia. Remains of the great Chinese wall are situated northward from the capital of Yinchuan province. And that is where Chingiz is staying these days.

Chingiz satellite locations aim straight to the close surrounding of the Yellow river nearby Mataigou town which lies about 40 kilometres north-eastward from the capital of Yinchian. In the province (better said autonomous area) Ningxia Hui, more than 5,5 millions inhabitants live while the third of them are the local nation Hui whose members are Muslims by confession. I found a forecast for the capital that illustrates the conditions in which Chingiz resides. Daily temperatures reach over 20 °C, but only a few degrees above zero at night; slight frost should come in the middle of next week. Then it should get warm again and we'll see how Chingiz reacts upon these changes. In my opinion, he'll stay here for some longer. The forecast for central Mongolia, where the female Tuya is waiting before her journey to south, is very similar.
