Even Tuya has been on her way, we at home again (Tuesday, October 12 2004)

12. říjen 2004

Probably on Friday 8th, but more likely on Saturday 9th of October, Tuya set out on her way. "Shall I look after her?" Gomboo asked us a few days before as it got freezing in the central Mongolia. Besides, it was not extra hot even in northern Kyzylkum where we were monitoring Altynai last week...

I'll get back to Kazakhstan and Altynai some more in a detail in the following days. This time only an extensive photo gallery and the information that in the semi-desert interlaced with the branches of Syrdaria, irrigating channels and semi-dried lakes, we caught not only Altynai but also more than hundred of black storks. We've never seen that number together so far!

So Tuya has been on her way for a few days. She is advancing 170 to 300 kilometres per day (attention: the times mentioned on http://capi.fido.cz/map/new_select.php are GMT; it 8 hours more in the local time). More substantial is that, same as Chingiz, she is flying to south.
