Elia Moretti (*1986 in Milano, Italy) is a performer, composer, percussion player and researcher with a focus on cultural anthropology through an ecological perception of sound.
He is specifically interested in the way sound might contribute to alter the experience of the performance and he is concerned with the ways in which artistic practices participate in the context (social grounds) they emerge from or respond to. He's investigating those sonic phenomena which are foundational of performative and theatrical practice.
He plays in different ensemble units, nevertheless he privileges radical and experimental chamber music. He regularly collaborates with dancers, theatre companies and visual artists.
