After we returned (Friday 26th July 2002)
In fact, I would like to make a short report; after we got back, many arrears waited for us so we are going to publish other experiences and photos from out expedition the next week.
We got interesting piece of news: a famous Japanese ornithologist Higuchi is about to mark Black Storks with satellites I Far East. This proves that Black Storks are ideal model species. If everything goes well, after a few years we will probably know all of their migratory paths and winterizing places.
For the following days and weeks we plan to:
1. Of course, waiting till our storks fly away. This could happen at the half of August.
2. At the end of the next week we should already know the storks' sexes. Then they'll get names, and a press conference will be carried out in Prague and in Chomutov.
3. Together with ABC magazine, we are preparing a competition about storks for children from September till November. ABC will bring even a comprehensive article. Czech version of National Geographic will inform about our travel as well.
More so, we'll also try to save the time and get the expenditures to study the Siberian storks at their winterizing place. And to mark next ones the next year as well.
