A new record has been reached (Wednesday 11th September)

11. září 2002

Stork called Viktor, whom we marked in Rakovnik area, reached 475 kilometers in one day only flying over Sahara on 25th October 1995. More than four years later, Krystof got over it: on 8th March he reached 488 kilometers flying over Sahara as well. But even this record was dropped yesterday: Roman reached the distance of 565 kilometers yesterday flying over Kazakhstan! He passed the Balkhas lake and spent the night near Chu river, after which the Moyynkum desert lies.

Petr flew 320 kilometers yesterday and the important thing is that, compared to Roman, he's taking his way to the west. Perhaps too much western direction...

Katerina took northwest course yesterday and reached 110 kilometers. The map shows that she's probably returning from the Issyk-Kul lake where she was cornered. That is to say, if she flew on the same course as on Sunday, she would get among mountains of Tan-San which are three to four thousand metershigh; Her current way enables her to fly north from Tan-San across Moyynkum to the west. Well, we'll see where she's gonna fly today...
